Meeting Ruth and her husband, Nate, has been a blessing. They are some of the most welcoming, kindhearted people I have sincerely had the pleasure of getting to know. Added bonus: very talented photographers in Seattle. Ruth and I got together this weekend to take advantage of the massive wind storm that passed through Seattle and play around with our cameras. I always imagined photographing another artist would be nerve wrecking and intimidating - but it surprisingly wasn't the case with us. At one point early in the shoot I apologized to Ruth for my "stupid" pose and in her comforting voice assured me it wasn't because it "was the perfect time to experiment." She was definitely right. It was an ideal shoot; So much patience and trust in one another to create art.
